Keep in mind that the money making activities listed in this post are things that people are already doing and they're making great money as a result. Now, before we get into the ways that you can make money on Twitter, take a look at the Twitter stats listed below, some of them are pretty mind blowing:
Opportunity to do what? Opportunity to promote your business, to find prospects, to network with influencers in your industry, to become an influencer in your industry, and to do so much more. So, read on to discover some ways to make money with Twitter that you can begin implementing today! 20 Ways to make money with Twitter
Some of the activities listed below require you to have a fairly large Twitter following in order to be implemented, however, most of them do not. Let's get into it.
1. Sponsored Tweets Sponsored Tweets is a networking platform that connects popular Twitter users with brands looking to sponsor them. If you have a sizable Twitter following, you can get your tweets sponsored by popular brands and get paid for doing something that you're already doing, tweeting.
2. Affiliate Marketing
Twitter is an excellent place to promote affiliate links, because many of your Twitter followers are warm prospects, in other words, they are people who know you, like you, and trust you and they have a higher chance of converting. If you are new to affiliate marketing, I don't recommend just diving into it without learning a thing or two about it. So, unless you are an experienced affiliate marketer, I encourage you to read the books listed below so that you can learn proven strategies to win in affiliate marketing.
3. Monetize Your Influence
If you are one of the lucky people to have hundreds of thousands of Twitter followers, then you are considered by marketers to be an influencer and, if you but knew it, you are in very high demand! That's right, there are quite a few brands out there which are more than happy to make your pockets fat for promoting their products & services to your following. Now, if being a paid influencer is something you're interested in, but you don't quite have a massive following, you may still be in luck. If you have a Twitter following of just 1,000 or more, then you are still considered to be a micro influencer, and advertisers are still happy to pay you bank to promote them. If you are like the majority of people, and just don't have a large enough following yet to become a paid influencer, that does not mean that you can't build your following up quickly. Here are some books that I recommend reading which will teach you how:
4. Sell your own products
Twitter has a couple of resources available now that enable online sellers to use Twitter as one of their sales outlets. If you don't know what Twitter cards are, they are a way for you to enrich your tweets with additional info and media. You can even implement Twitter cards with calls to action, making them an excellent selling tool. A relatively new tool that is available on Twitter is the Twitter "buy" button. If you have an online shop, you can implement Twitter buy buttons enabling your followers to buy your products directly from your Twitter feed, which can be a total game changer! 5. Promote your services If you are a service provider, and you are not using Twitter to promote your services, it's time to wake up! Twitter cards make excellent tools for this. You can create Twitter cards with call- to- action buttons that link your followers to your company website where they can order your services.
6. Twitter account management
Most business professionals understand the importance and the value of having a presence on platforms such as Twitter, however, they are often way too busy to be active on Twitter. Twitter account management is a valuable service which you can offer to busy business owners and other entrepreneurs. This service includes things such as sending out promotional tweets, tweeting company news, growing your client's following, and responding to direct tweets. Smart business owners would be more than happy to pay for such a service. 7. Paid Per Tweet They describe themselves as "The world's first paid to tweet marketplace. " This is a platform where you can get paid by advertisers to send out promotional tweets to your following. The amount of money that you are paid per tweet is determined by the amount of followers you have.
8. Create Twitter Ads
Twitter allows advertisers to pay for ads on their platform. These ads can be sent to specific groups of people and can be filtered by demographics, interests, geography and several other factors. These advertisers want to make sure that the ads which they are spending their money on are going to be effective ones. If you are a graphic designer, or can write professional ads, you can offer these services to advertisers interested in advertising on Twitter.
9. Twitter Content Writer
If you have a talent for content creation, this is another service that you can offer individuals & businesses. You can charge for each tweet you write, or you can offer package deals, or both. A lot of people, especially business owners, do not have the time to think of fresh content on a daily basis and then there are people who just aren't great at creating content, so this is another valuable service that many are willing to pay you for. 10. Sell tweets on gig markets There are quite a few platforms where you can promote & sell freelance services. Fiverr is probably the most well known of these platforms. On platforms like Fiverr you can charge people for sending promotional tweets on their behalf to your following, and many of these platforms will allow you to list your services for free. Some additional online gig markets where you can sell tweets include:
11. Sell re-tweets
There are plenty of people who will even pay you to retweet their original tweets. You can offer these services using the same type of platforms as those mentioned above. 12. Generate & sell leads If you know how to generate leads, especially targeted leads, their are plenty of businesses that will pay good money to buy leads from you. The first element you'll need is a lead magnet which is essentially a bribe that you give people in exchange for their email address, phone number, or mailing address. Now, by bribe, I don't mean a monetary bribe. A lead magnet is normally some sort of digital download which provides value to your prospects such as an ebook, swipe files, useful templates, e.t.c. Once you have your lead magnet, you then need to find a good list building service or content locker which requires prospects to submit an email address or some other information in order to receive the lead magnet. Once you have everything in place, you would simply tweet out a link for people to get your lead magnet at least once per day. If this system is set up correctly, and you have a good lead magnet, you can begin to see the leads come pouring in which you can then sell to multiple advertisers that are looking for people in the same market group as your leads. 13. Twit Pub Here is another platform that is specifically for buying and selling tweets. Twit Publisher helps you get paid by simply posting on Twitter.
14. Monetize your Twitter knowledge
If you know how to use Twitter for marketing purposes effectively, you have a skill that many people would pay money to learn. You can monetize this knowledge by publishing & selling an e-book, creating a Twitter marketing course, or by packaging your knowledge into some other type of information product. 15. Twitter account creation & optimization services Believe it or not, there are a lot of people who know that they should be marketing their business via Twitter, but they have no clue how to use Twitter or even set up an account, and the thought of attempting to do so terrifies them. This creates the opportunity for you to offer this as a service. Even people who do have a Twitter account, would be willing to pay someone to optimize their Twitter profile for their business needs. When people hire you for this service, a door to another opportunity then opens up, which is Twitter account management services (refer back to strategy # 6) 16. Pay U 2 Blog Pay U 2 Blog is yet another website where you can get paid to tweet and retweet. 17. Media Studio Media Studio is a newer feature on Twitter that enables you to create videos that are formatted just for Twitter. Each time that you create a video using Media Studio, you have the ability to monetize your video with in-stream video ads. When you enable the monetization option in Media Studio, Twitter shares any ad revenue that your video generates with you. 18. Video creator services If you are a video creator, you can offer this as a service to brands looking to have promotional videos posted to Twitter and, if you are good at it, this is a service that you can charge a substantial amount of money for. You can also use Twitter's Media Studio to create promo videos for your own products or services. 19. Partner With Influencers This strategy involves recruiting Twitter influencers to promote your affiliate links to their massive following. The first thing you'll need to do for this strategy is find a good CPA offer to promote. The reason why it is best to use CPA offers is because, to be compensated, your prospects do not necessarily need to make a purchase so you'll typically see a higher conversion rate with CPA offers. Once you have your CPA offer that you want to promote, you will then need to find an influencer whose following would be interested in your offer. To maximize your earnings, you should recruit an influencer whose follower count is at 6 or 7 digits. If you cannot find an influencer with that large of a following, you can still see a good success rate by recruiting a micro influencer. Make sure that the person you recruit has a follower count of no less than 5 digits, otherwise it's not worth the time or the effort. To recruit your influencer, you are going to reach out to them and tell them that you have something that their following would really be interested in. Make sure to tell them that their followers are not required to purchase anything, because many people are uncomfortable with the idea of selling things to their followers. Tell your chosen influencer that, given the size of their following, they could potentially make a quick $500 to $1,000 by simply tweeting your offer to their following a few times over the next few days, and you will split any revenue that your offer generates with them 50/50. Once you have your influencer on board, you just send them the tweet with the offer link. At that point it's time to kick back and watch the money come in! You should pay your influencer their share of daily revenue each day, and perhaps even send them an extra $100 as a thank you. This will encourage your influencers to continue tweeting your CPA offer generating the both of you more profits! I learned this strategy from a book titled The Laptop Millionaire by Mark Anastasi. If you want to learn some proven strategies to make money online, then the book is a must read. I can honestly say that it changed my life!
20. Sell your Twitter account
If you have a Twitter account with at least 50,000 followers, you can list your account for sale on a platform called Viral Accounts, where you'll find advertisers who are willing to write you a fat check to buy your Twitter account. This is a great option if the above strategies don't interest you. Closing Thoughts
I believe that anyone who has a basic knowledge of how to use Twitter can use at least one of the above strategies to easily make money using Twitter. Aside from the strategies that I just discussed, there are plenty of free or inexpensive tools available that you can use to help you use and monetize your Twitter activities efficiently. In fact, I have a curated collection of Twitter tools that will really help you bring your A game, it's titled The Ultimate Twitter Toolbox. Wherever there is people, especially a lot of people, there is money that can be made. Facebook’s massive userbase has created opportunities for those who would take advantage of them. I’m going to talk about some of those opportunities in this post. Here are 25 ways that I could think of to make money with Facebook. Ways to monetize Facebook
1. Facebook Marketing Services.
Most businesses understand just how big the userbase on Facebook is, but many have no idea how to use Facebook to promote their products or services, or their not getting the results that they would like to. If you can provide effective promotion for some of these companies, they would be happy to pay you the big bucks to do so. 2. Facebook Page Design & Setup Many people don’t know the ins and outs of Facebook, or maybe they are not in touch with their creative side. If you are creative and have a great looking Facebook page, some people will pay you to design one for them too. 3. Lead generation services Most business owners are extremely busy people and do not have the time to sit on Facebook for hours and grow their following, so if they are smart, they will be happy to pay you to do this for them. 4. Become a paid influencer When your following on Facebook grows to tens of thousands of people you are considered to be an influencer. As an influencer, brands will pay you a lot of money to promote their products or services to your following. Your going to want to get involved with an influencer ad network, because they already work with a number of brands, and they will ensure that you get paid. Now, there are quite a few influencer ad networks out there, so don’t work with the first one that you find. You’re going to want to look at a few of these companies to compare their pay rates for influencers, this way you can go with the one that will put the most money in your pocket. 5. Become a micro influencer If you don’t have 100,000 friends on Facebook, but your following is larger than most people’s, you can still get into the influencer marketing game as a micro influencer. In fact, their are ad networks that work with micro influencers specifically. Again, don’t jump on board with the first ad network that you find. Compare several ad networks so that you can work with the one that will be the most lucrative for you. 6. Facebook Audience Network Facebook Audience Network is an ad network that helps app and website publishers monetize their content. If you are an app developer, game developer or video creator, you definatly should consider working with Facebook Audience Network. 7. Sell on the Facebook marketplace If you have something to sell, Facebook has a marketplace where you can list items for sale for free. Considering that Facebook has a userbase of over 2.8 billion people, listing items for sale in the marketplace is a great way to get a lot of exposure to your products. 8. Design Facebook ads for people If you are creative and think that you would be good at creating attention grabbing Facebook ads for people, you can charge a considerable amount of money for this service, and many brands would be willing to pay it! 9. Facebook page or account management As I mentioned before, most business owners do not have the time to go on Facebook a lot, they have a business to run! This creates an opportunity for you. You can charge businesses a monthly fee to manage their Facebook pages or accounts for them. 10. Facebook Videos If you are a video creator, their are several ways to monetize your videos through Facebook, especially if your content gets a lot of views. Here are the ways you can monetize video content: • Video ads – if you allow Facebook to place ads within your videos, they will pay you for this. • Video subscriptions – if you have a fanbase that loves your videos, you should definatley consider charging your viewers a subscription fee. Facebook will allow you to do this, and it will provide monthly reoccurring revenue from each one of your subscribers. • Sponsored content – many brands will pay you big bucks to promote them in your video content. • Video creation services – if you are a professional video creator, you can start or expand your business on Facebook, and charge people money to create videos for them. 11. Sell ad space within your public feed If you have a large following, you can charge companies money to place their ad in your public Facebook feed. 12. Develop Facebook apps If you know how to develop apps, you can create Facebook apps that people will want or need to use. Once you do this, there are 4 ways to monetize your apps: sell the app itself for a large lump sum, charge people money to use your apps, monetize your apps with in-app purchases, or monetize your apps through the Facebook Audience Network. 13. Open a Facebook store If you have products to sell, why not take advantage of Facebook’s humongous userbase and open a Facebook store? There are quite a few apps and ecommerce platforms that enable you to create a store on Facebook, and most of them will give you a free trial. 14. Professional content creator If you know how to consistently create great content, their are a lot of people and brands that will pay you to create content for their pages. You can charge people per post that you create for them. 19. Facebook marketplace agent If you are great at sales, you can find items in the Facebook marketplace that people are having trouble selling, and offer to help them sell their items in exchange for a commission. 20. Sell likes and shares If you have a large enough following on Facebook, you can charge money for likes and shares. 21. Build up and sell fan pages If you can build up a flowing quickly, you can create fan pages for a specific topic, build up the following for these pages, and then flip the fan pages. For example, you can create a fan page that has to do with camping. You would then spend the next couple weeks or month building up a following of camping enthusiasts. Once your camping fan page has a sizable following, you can then sell it to a company that sells camping gear. 22. Build up and sell groups To do this, follow the same process for building up and selling fan pages. 23. Start a premium group Facebook allows group administrators to charge people a membership fee, so if you have a group with a lot of members, this could be a great source of reoccurring revenue. 24. Become a Facebook news reporter Facebook now has a news tab where anyone can publish articles and receive a share of Facebook’s ad revenue. 25.
